Once And For All
Performed in a Gothic Mortuary Chapel, Such As They Are enacts stories, both from history and living memory, of the people buried in Bendigo cemetery.
These will be presented using a zesty blend of sculptural sets, performance, puppetry and music.
Developed through workshops conducted at the cemetery's former Sexton's residence, as well as schools and old age homes, Once and For All is an affectionate performance that looks into the past to see the present and views death with minimal fear and even, perhaps, a sense of fun.
This production is created by Eliza-Jane Gilchrist & Mark Penzak with music by Rose Turtle Ertler. Dramaturgical support Verity Higgins and technical support Tim Bray. Photography by Leonie Van Eyk and Eliza-Jane Gilchrist.
